A trick we use to reduce our grocery bill is planning dinners in advance. We search online and through cookbooks and establish a set of dinner favorites. (These are meals we know our family members agree upon and love to eat.)
This list of favorites is then transferred to a set of sticky notes and placed on a calendar. To assist in planning for the week we simply place sticky notes on the respective calendar days. We found this to be a great time saver rather than polling the family for dinner ideas.
This technique also speeds up the time spent at the grocery since we know exactly what we need for the week. Another benefit can be found on our grocery bill. Our bill is kept to a minimum since we are not wondering the isles looking for ideas and picking up expensive snacks as we search.
Quick dinner planning, less time at the grocery, bills kept to a minimum. What combination could be better?
